1: Nice-cream

Exchange the ice cream for a healthier, nutritious alternative. Ice is replaced by frozen bananas, which satisfy the cravings without adding sugar or other unhealthy substances. Bananas are rich in potassium, vitamin B6 and fiber. Dark chocolate holds nutritients, minerals and antioxidants beneficial for your health, and is fine to enjoy in small amounts when making some low-calorie dessert.

 

You need:

  • 1 ripe banana in slices (frozen)
  • 1 tbs cocoa powder
  • 5 g chopped dark chocolate

How to do it:

Run the frozen bananas in a blender until you have a thick, creamy consistence. Mix in cocoa powder. Pour into a bowl, and top with chopped chocolate. Low-calorie dessert with about 160 kcal per portion.

 

2: Chocolate-dipped strawberries

Strawberries are packed with nutrients and is rich in water. The dark chocolate contains health-beneficial nutrition and the amount is so small you can happily enjoy a low-calorie dessert without regret.

 

You need:

  • 150 g strawberries (about 10 berries)
  • 25 g dark chocolate

How to do it:

Chop the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt it in a water bath. Make sure your water doesn’t boil, as this will ruin the chocolate. Dip your strawberries in the liquid chocolate with the tip facing down. Place them on a piece of baking paper and store in a cold place until the chocolate is solid. Each portion holds about 180 kcal.

 

3: Baked apple

Apples are sweet and may help you get rid of some cravings. Cinnamon holds a solid dose of antioxidants, which will strengthen your immune system and improve your chances against sickness. You may replace erythritol with honey if you want natural sweetening but remember to limit the amount if you are looking for a low-calorie dessert.

 

You need:

  • 1 apple
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp erythritol
  • 1 tbsp quark or light vanilla yoghurt

How to do it:

Cut apple into pieces and place them in a small, buttered casserole. Put cinnamon and erythritol (or honey) over the pieces of apple. Place in oven at 200 degrees at about 16-18 minutes or until the apple pieces softens. Serve with quark or light vanilla yoghurt on top. One portion holds about 90 kcal.
