Most of us would appreciate a private chef to take care of every meal of the day. Let’s be honest, making the same piece of bread with the same kind of topping day out and day in isn’t the most exciting thing we do during the day. But we can’t skip food now, can we? So why don’t we just make it more exciting instead? Try one of these recipes for healthy evening snack!

 

Vegetables and dip

Deliciously healthy evening snack packed with vitamins and minerals? Yes please! This one simply cannot go wrong. The amount is for one portion and holds about 93 calories.

You need:

  • 25 g rutabaga
  • 25 g carrot
  • 10 g peppers
  • 15 g celery
  • 15 g snow peas
  • 10 g radish

For dip:

  • ½ dl quark
  • ¼ lime
  • ½ tbsp finely chopped thyme
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

How to do it:

Peel or rinse all vegetables and cut them into pieces or sticks. Mix dip ingredients and grate some peel of the lime before squeezing its juice into the mix. Add salt and pepper of your taste and serve.

 

Yogurt and cottage cheese with fresh berries

Yogurt gives you a dose of those healthy gut bacteria. Cottage cheese is packed with proteins and the fresh berries mixed with grain adds both vitamins and fiber. That’s what we call a healthy evening snack! The recipe holds one portion á 115 calories.

You need:

  • 1 ½ dl natural yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lean cottage cheese
  • 20 g wholegrain mix
  • 20 g blueberries
  • 20 g raspberries
  • 20 g pomegranate

How to do it:

Mix yogurt and cottage cheese in a bowl before topping with grain and fresh berries. Serve immediately and eat with the best conscious in the world!

 

Mini pancakes with quark and fresh topping

Quark is high in protein and contains almost twice as much calcium as milk as well as being nearly fat free. Quark is the perfect ingredient in a healthy evening snack. The recipe holds for about 8 mini pancakes.

You need:

  • 3 dl quark
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 dl flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar

How to do it:

Mix all ingredients well. Leave it to rest for a few minutes before cooking it at medium heat on a frying pan. Serve with jam, yogurt or sour cream.

 

Green smoothie with avocado, kiwi and spinach

You need:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 kiwi
  • ½ banana
  • ½ tbsp ginger
  • ½ pack of spinach
  • 1 dl natural yogurt
  • 1 ½ dl milk
  • ½ lime

How to do it:

Peel avocado, kiwi and banana and cut into pieces. Grate ginger and mix all ingredients in a blender. Run until smooth and add squeezed lime of your taste.
