Five fruits a day disguised as sugar free dessert? Yes please!

The directorate of health recommends having at least five fruits and vegetables a day. This is going to improve our health by getting enough vitamins and minerals into our diet. What about having a sugar free dessert as one of the famous five?

Who said that you have to eat endless amounts of dry carrots or sloppy broccolis to satisfy the recommendations for fruits and vegetables? We suggest you give your health benefits of fruits and greens through a delicious, sugar free dessert without adding to the calories nor triggers cravings!

 

Sugar free panna cotta with fresh berry sauce

Food blogger Linda Stuhaug shared this delicious recipe that you simply must try. It comes in several variations and taste just as good as an in betweem meal-snack as for evening snack. Definitely worth trying out when you are looking to serve some sugar free dessert!

 

You need:

  • 4 dl milk
  • 400 g natural yogurt
  • 3-4 tbsp sugar substitute
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 5 plates of gelatin
  • Fresh lime juice if desired

How to do it:

Scrape the seeds out of the vanilla bean and put both seeds, the bean and SUKRIN PLUSS in a casserole with milk. Slowly bring to the boil. Leave the gelatin in cold water for 3-4 minutes or until they are soft. Squeeze the water off and melt them in the warm milk. Let it cool a little before removing the vanilla bean and add yogurt. Pour it into four portion bowls and leave for cooling in 3-4 hours or until it is solid.

For the sauce you need:

  • 200 g strawberries
  • 200 g raspberries
  • 2-3 tbsp artificial sweetener

How to do it:

Crush the berries with a blender. Add your choice of artificial sweetener. If you are using frozen berries, make sure to bring them to the boil with ½ dl of water and sweetener before crushing them in a blender.

Sugar free mini crumb pai with raspberries

Food blogger Stine Halsestad shared this delicious recipe for sugar free dessert. It is super simple to make and will satisfy your cravings in the night. Best of all? It’s sugar free!

 

You need:

  • 2-3 tbsp vanilla cream with no added sugar
  • A handful of raspberries
  • 10 g cold butter
  • 15 g flour
  • 10 g oatmeal
  • 1 pinch artificial sweetener
  • 1 pinch of baking powder

How to do it:

Put your oven to 170 degrees. Mix flour, oatmeal, sweetener and baking powder and crumb it together with the butter. Cover the bottom of two small tins with vanilla cream and put the berries on top. Add the sweetener of choice and top it with crumbs. Cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes.

Chia pudding with mango and strawberry sauce

Food blogger Kristine Ilstad developed this tasty thing! It’s not just super good as a dessert, t also contains the super food chia seed. These are packed with proteins, antioxidants, vitamins and healthy fatty acids. This is truly a delicious sugar free dessert to enjoy with the best conscience in the world.

 

You need:

  • 6 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 dl milk
  • 2 tbsp maple sirup

For the mango sauce you need:

  • 200 g frozen mango
  • 1 tbsp orange juice

For the strawberry sauce you need:

  • 200 g frozen strawberries
  • 1 tbsp orange juice

 

How to do it:

Evenly share the chia seed in two large glasses before adding milk and maple sirup. Mix well. Leave it to rest for an hour, while stirring from time to time to ensure the seeds spread evenly. Leave the glasses in the fridge until the next day.

Defreeze mango and strawberries in a bowl for each before adding orange juice to both of them. Use a blender to make the mix nice and smooth. Enjoy a healthy sugar free dessert filled with nutrients!
